Just visited Neil. He has worked hard on the trach collar. He has just come off the trach collar and is going back on the ventilator. His leg continues to hurt and the pain has moved from the knee to the middle of his leg. The nurse thinks the pain in the knee is from the pin site for the external hardware. This has been a very productive day for Neil in that he was on the trach collar for 10 uninterrupted hours. This is a huge start to weaning off the ventilator. We cannot wait to see Neil at 8:30. Please pray for Neil's lungs and leg.
Sue and Shannon have had a good day. They are making progress every single day. We are thrilled and cannot wait until 8:30 for another visit.

Sure was good to see yall today and hear Neil's good news. Thinking of you all as he "takes each step" and you "take each step with him." Bet Neil has a favorite to win the Masters -- you'll have to keep us up to date with his critique of the golfers. Love to all, Becky P
