April 15 10:30 am

We have had the last 10 am visit in SICU as Neil will be moved at some point today. His night was good. His throat really hurts and he coughs frequently. The coughing is a result of the trach collar as we understand this. His temperature is 99 this morning. The doctors have seen Neil. The infectious disease doctor said the Zyvox is covering the VRE. They are waiting on other cultures and will proceed based on those finding. With the infection Neil has, his room has to be labeled "Contact Isolation". So, we have to suit up to visit. I think we all look good in yellow. HA!! Please pray for Neil's lungs, leg and his continued breathing on the trach collar.

Please pray for the full recovery of Sue, Shannon, Daisy, John, Nelson and our other friends here. I did not see our families after the visit. Will update you on the next visit.

Please surround the Andress family with your support. Both the Andress family and us so appreciate your loving us through this.

Great news to begin this new week! I'm so glad to hear Neil is moving to a big boy room, even if everyone has to wear yellow. How about some bright orange flip flops to go with that new yellow wardrobe? Keep up the good work Neil!

Way to go Neil !!!! what great news to hear on this cold rainy day. I am so proud of the progress you have made. But I really don't think anyone every doubted you would do this. We know how stubborn you can be and this time ... being stubborn is a great thing. We love you and hope to be able to visit soon !!!!
Love ya,
