April 29 8:30 pm

Good Afternoon, What a good day at Baptist South. Neil was up in the chair for over 4 hours today. The infectious disease doctor came by and said Neil was doing great. He did away with the Merrem as he said it was not needed. The orthopedist came by and is very pleased with Neil's leg. The splint that was brought yesterday did not fit. One was brought today and it works well. Neil's breathing is wonderful and he is coughing much less. This has been a grand day. Please continue to pray for Neil's lungs, leg and his continued breathing on his own.

Great news as Mr. John Ceyfus was moved today to Jackson Long Term Hospital. His wife was told he would be there about 3 weeks and then he will be able to go home. Isn't this wonderful? I know his family is grinning from ear to ear. We sure are. I still have more good news. Shannon was moved to a room. We went to visit. My goodness, she is as pretty as her mom. The doctor is talking with them about moving Shannon to Spain Rehab Center in Birmingham. Wow, Shannon has made progress. We went to see Sue at Health South. She was asleep and looked beautiful. I am thinking all that working out wore her out. Please pray for the full recovery of Sue, Shannon, John, Daisy and our other friends here.

Please remember the family of Mr. Rudolph Crook. We are so sad to learn Mr. Rudolph died this morning. He was sure a friend to all of us. We send our love to his precious family.

Please remember Ms. Minnie Alice Cox from Montgomery in your prayers. She is a sister of Mr. Frank Clark, a special friend to us. Ms. Minnie Alice is in ICU.

Neil has been here for 9 weeks today. That is hard to fathom. His progress is moving faster and faster each day. I must brag about his patience and sweet spirit throughout this journey. Neil and DeAnn have managed this without complaint and have more than arisen to the occasion. We have been blessed each day by your love and support. Please continue to surround the Andress family with your prayers.

We miss seeing your mom but wouldn't want her to be anyplace else. We are so excited you continue to progress, remember there is a light at the end of that tunnel and it is growing bigger everyday as you make progress. One day you will look back and this hospitalization will just be a bump in the road. Now isn't that an incredible thought! Keeping the prayers up.SDHR
