Just visited Neil. This afternoon the speech therapist came by and evaluated Neil's swallowing. Neil can swallow when he is on the trach collar. She said Neil "passed" the test and he could have something to drink besides the sips of apple juice. Neil wanted a chocolate milkshake from Chik Fil A. Well, you can imagine, my CA (Community Angel AKA baby sitter, my youngest brother) and I went flying to Chik Fil A and got 2 milkshakes (one for Neil and one for DeAnn). They were able to have their first lunch together today. Yea!!! He was able to drink several swallows. Again, we are celebrating. Neil was on the trach collar several hours. He is working so hard. The nurse brought him a dinner tray, cream of something soup, jello, pudding, yogurt, etc. He had a couple of bites of jello, sips of tea and then wanted some of the left over milk shake.
Please pray for Neil's lungs.
We continue to see miracles in this waiting room. We are still celebrating Shannon's recovery. Like Neil and Sue, this is going to be a slow process but at least now she has a great starting point. Yea!!!!!
Please pray for the full recovery of Ruth Lewis from Georgianna. She had carotid artery surgery today and had some complications. She is in SICU. Her sweet family is here with us. Ruth is their mother.
Please pray for the full recovery of John Gresham from Millbrook. He had carotid artery surgery this morning and is doing great. Let's pray him home to Millbrook.
Thanks to all of you for the love and support.

Tears came to my eyes as I thought about Neil and DeAnn drinking their milkshakes together. They are so precious, and I know God has a wonderful plan for the two of them. Keep up the good work, Neil. We love you!!!
