Good afternoon, I am so sorry this is late. Neil and DeAnn had a good night. (As good as you can have in a hospital.) This morning has been busy. Physical therapy came in and Neil sat up for a few minutes. The infectious disease doctor came by and was very pleased Neil has no temperature. He feels very good about how the antibiotics have managed the infection. Neil's leg is painful and is managed by medication. The medication makes him sleepy. He and DeAnn are napping as I write this. Physical therapy is to come back by and wound care is to change the dressing on his leg today. The speech therapist came by and evaulated Neil's swallowing again. He "was promoted" to a soft diet. This is sure progress. He is not very hungry and he is getting the TPN and tube feeding. Please pray for Neil's lungs, leg and his continued breathing on the trach collar.
Please pray for the full recovery of Sue, Shannon, John, Nelson and our other friends here. Sue had a good night. The doctor cannot pull her cannula out as planned. They will take her down to surgery for this brief procedure. If all goes well, they will possible close the trach. Goodness, that would be wonderful. Nelson's brother said Nelson had a bit of a set back due to lungs. He had taken two steps forward and maybe this is only one step back. I saw John's wife and John has gone down to surgery and his gall bladder will be removed. I did not see Shannon's mom after the visit but will check on her this evening. Please pray for each of these.
Also, please remember Shellie Sharp in your prayers. She lives in Atmore and has had some health problems for several years. Her sweet family loves her so much and they are so supportive of her. Shellie is doing better right now and we pray this continues. Please remember Ruth Mack and David Bandstra. They are both from Elba and are in the hospital in Dothan.
Thanks so very much for your love and support.

So glad to hear you are able to eat a little more than liquid. Also, it is great that DeAnn can stay with you at night. I can't wait to hear all of the good things you will be doing next. Love ya and continued prayers,
Jill Neeley
