April 10 10:45 am

Good morning. Hope all of you are doing well. Neil is already hard at work. He moved to the trach collar at 7:30 this morning. The doctor said he expects Neil to be on the trach collar from now on. The thought is Neil might be able to move to a room here possibly Saturday or Sunday. Wow, this is Neil's goal as well as ours. His temperature was 101.5 but the doctor is not alarmed as he attributes this to the surgery. The wound care folks are changing Neil's abdomen dressing now and the dressing on his leg will be changed later today. Dang, Neil is working so hard and we are so proud of him. Please pray for Neil's lungs, his leg and his tenacity in tolerating the trach collar.

Well, this morning Sue is back in her chair. She is making more and more progress everyday. Her sweet daughters are so excited as are we. Her swallowing is being evaluated as I write this. Let's pray that she makes an A+ on this test so she can have some ice cream. You go, girl.

Let continue to pray for the full recovery of Shannon. She is sure trying to wake up. Her parents are so pleased. We are so encouraged by her progress.

Thanks so very much for your love and support. We could not ever have managed this without you all. Please surround the Andress family with love and support.

Neil, I (and I am sure noone else) can imagine exactly what you are going through, but you can be sure that everyone on the outside are pulling for you. Your strength, courage and patience are to be commended and you are being rewarded for all this right now! Hang in there and you will beat all the Doctor's timelines they are giving you!
We love you and so happy for you and proud of you!
Love you!
