April 1 9:00 pm

Just visited Neil. He has had a long day. His breathing was some slower off and on today. We hope and pray his "chilling" day will have great results for him tomorrow. We cannot wait to see Neil in the morning. Please pray for Neil's lungs.

Please continue to pray for the full recovery of Sue and Shannon. Shannon's parents and other family and friends are here with us. They are encouraged by her progress and love her so much. We see the same love and support from Sue's family. We all get to celebrate the baby steps our loved ones make. Honestly, this experience is life changing for most of us. We have been so blessed we have had little contact with the medical system in the past and are learning as we go. I think if you put us all together, we may be a neurosurgeon. (Yeah, right!!!)

We frequently hear from people saying they check this blog several times a day and always pray as they check on Neil's progress. Those prayers are worth more than all the money in the world. We cannot tell you how much they mean and how humbled we are that Neil, Sue, Shannon and our other friends are in your hearts and prayers everyday.

Lucia,
I've said it before but it bears repeting. I have learned so much from you these past few weeks. It's almost as though you, Kenneth, Reese and Deann have formed a cocoon around Neil and this protects him from all that "could have" happened. It's God that has shined on you and in his own way has made you a witness.
I'll continue to pray for your friends and Neil every day until this crisis is over and even beyond.
Lynn

Lucia,
My devotional for Wednesday, April 2, 2008 made me think of all yall.
It is entitled "HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I PRAY?" It was so encouraging! It said that we live in a culture where we want and even expect instantaneous results--But GOD works in HIS own time and HIS own way. "This is the confidence we have before HIM: whenever we ask anything according to HIS will, He hears us. And if we know that HE hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked HIM for" John 5: 14-15.It pointed out that by praying we are opening us our spirit to receive the power and blessings of GOD! It ended with Jeremiah 32:27- "Look, I am the LORD, the GOD of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for ME?"
Hope this encourages you as much as it did me and I hope yall have a wonderful day of healing and rest. Love Yall, Betty Lawford

Neil, glad they gave you "a day off", you certainly deserve it! Hopefully, today will bring a new energy and zest to carry on. Wow, how far you have already come--by prayer, God's grace, and a wonderfully loving family and host of praying friends.
Lucia, tell us uneducated what a bone stimulator is and does, please.
Love to all,
Kathy & Fred
