Just visited Neil. Wow, he is doing such a good job and we are so proud of him. There is no looking back for him with the trach collar. His breaths are still rather quick but he is feeling fine. His leg hurts quite a bit and this is being managed with medication. There is a pressure ulcer on his right heel and this is amazing this is the only one. This happened when he was on the rotary bed for so long. That bed was pretty dang rough but it was part of the miracle that saved his life. He is getting another unit of blood tonight. Neil sure is counting on moving to a room on the 6th floor. We cannot wait to see him in the morning.
Please continue to pray for Sue, Shannon, Daisy and our other friends here.
Ms. Daisy will probably be in SICU until Monday. She is doing better and the doctor is trying to adjust her medication. Shannon had to go down today for a CAT Scan. We sure hope the results are going to be great. Sue has had her best day. She has been on the trach collar all day and the goal is 18 hours today. Each day she had increased her time on the trach collar by about 3 hours.
We so appreciate your love and support. Please remember the Andress family in your prayers.

It so wonderful to keep reading these positive reports! Hope Neil gets to move into his new room soon. Thanks for the updates and I am still keeping Neil and the family in my prayers, especially his lungs.

Big boy bed, big boy chair, why not a big boy room for big boy Neil? We continue to be amazed and thrilled at the same time with all the progress you are making. Hang in there!

Keep up the good work and pull hard today for your boy, Boo. IF he works as hard as you have, he'll win the Masters. You certainly have!!! Hope all has a good week-end and the move to the new room goes well.
love to all,
George & Henri
I know all of you are anxious to get Neil into a room. You must all be exhausted. Please know that all of you and the others listed in your prayer requests are continuously thought of and prayed for. Give Neil a big hug from "Miss" Melanie:)
