March 6 10:30 pm
Oh my goodness, Neil has had the best day since the accident. We saw him at 8:30this evening. He has managed the ventilator setting today, therefore he continues to have a reserve. We have celebrated each visit. Tomorrow the doctor will change the dressing on his abdomen. Also, the doctor will determine if he thinks Neil could manage some surgery for a colostomy. This would be temporary but could provide much relief on Neil's liver and other organs. The colostomy would also relieve some of the retained fluid. If the doctor decides to do this, it would be done in SICU as Neil is still not stable enough to go downstairs for surgery. Neil is blessed with DeAnn as a wife. She continues to be a huge strength and encouragement for him and all of us. Our minister and his wife continue to support us with visits, prayer and love. We are a blessed family because of all of you. If I may be presumptuous, I would like to ask you to pray for Neil's lungs and add a prayer that the doctor can proceed with the colostomy. I will apologize one more time for my slip yesterday in not updating after the 5:30 visit. Yesterday was a very long, hard day for Neil. We have been so blessed with this day. I would never cause any of you needless concern. Your prayers have blessed Neil thus far. We cannot express our gratitude and love enough.

I could not go to sleep until I heard from ya'll. All I can say is "Thank you Jesus" for these baby miracles. We will certainly take them although Neil's recovery is not at the pace we like, I guess we are being taught patience; and that is fine I will learn and keep the prayers of thanks to God marching onward. Tell Neil I am proud of him as I know when he is moved around in the bed, he is hurting and in pain; his strength and determination is amazing! Love, Patsy

Hello
Just wanted to remind you all that you are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh, Jan I found the scripture that we talked about. (Ps 118:17) Everytime mother had a turn for the worse we reminded God of that scripture. It worked!! It is 16 years later and she is alive and well. PTL!!
My friends in Panama City have Neil on their prayer list.
You have lots of people standing with you. The prayer of agreement is powerful!!
Love and prayers,
Fran

God is answering our prayers!!!!! He is just answering them one step at a time. It is better on Neil this way. May God continue to hold you all in his mighty hand!!!!
Lucia and family-Pam teaches next door to me and has been keeping me informed of Neil's progress. I have been praying for him and all of you since the accident. I hope today will be an even better day than yesterday! Greg and I would be glad to help out with anything that needs doing in Elba while you are at Neil's side. Take care,
Greg and Lynn Corder
positive vibes heading your way from Charles' friends in VA!
Lucia and family, I have been keeping up with Neil's progress through Virginia, Betty and this wonderful site. Please know that my Sunday School class has you all in our prayers and I ask God daily to give you strength and peace and to hold Neil closely in the palm of his hand as he heals him, even in small steps. We ask for immediate freedom from pain and perfect healing and truly believe that is happening, but we know that is in God's timing not ours. Just know that we love you all and are keeping you close to our hearts.
Love you,
Mackie
