March 13 10:15 am
We just saw Neil. Also, we were able to talk to the doctor's physician assistant. The plan for Neil today is a "day of rest". She said they pushed Neil very hard yesterday bringing the ventilator setting down to 35 PEEP and 70% oxygen. His oxygen sat is 93 and that is a good number considering the change in the ventilator setting. Neil will continue to get lasix today to help with the fluid retention. His blood gases were not as "marvelous" as yesterday but still acceptable. The antibiotics will finish in a bit. The nurse will watch Neil and will get busy if he has a temperature of 101.5 or more. We pray for a boring day and good day of rest for Neil. .The physician's assistant "grounded" us again today. She reminded us there was no one else is SICU on this ventilator setting and that Neil continues to be very sick. I did ask her if she thought Neil was at least able to see the corner down the road. She indicated maybe. Thanks to all of you for participating in the miracles that continue to bless Neil's recovery. Please pray for Neil's lungs and the Andress family. Great Thursday to all.

Neil, DeAnn, Lucia, Kenneth, Reese and all others,
I know when we were going through our troubles, I was given this verse. I found it comforting then and I find it comforting now!
Psalms 91:11
"For he shall give his angels charge over thee"
That is exactly what I believe! I have already said this, but God has blessed all those that has had their hands, hearts and minds on Neil and his family at this time. This includes Doctors, Nurses, pharmacists and anyone else that has had a part in his continuing recovery!
We love you all!
Aunt Virginia and Uncle Tim
I hope all of you have a GOOD Thursday and especially Neil. God bless all of you today.
Love you,
Debra
I don't think I have seen the pic of Neil and Jerry by the tree. I think Neil looks like one of those lifeguards on Baywatch maybe even like the "HOFF". My days are full of Neil prayers. I love all of you,
Uncle John
Neil, DeAnn and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you everyday. Our God is indeed an "Awesome God" and continues to show us everyday that he is still working miracles. Call us if we can do anything for you.
Love,
Jerry & Debbie Kelley
Hey everyone! I just received an email that contained this bible verse:"Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up...The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." --James 5:14-16. I read this and immediatley prayed for Neil. Just wanted to share it with you!

Uncle John told me the "Hoff" story. I definitely see the resemblance. Praying for you every sec Neil and family.
Sons are sooooo precious!
Love,

Lucia and family. We have Neil in our thoughts and prayers. Brett and Lynn
Don't let the physican's assistant "rain" on our parade. It's not important that Neil is the only one on the higher vent setting. What is important is that he is able to come down at a steady pace and that he is doing so while being able to "hold his own". God has answered a lot of prayers over the last two weeks and he will continue to answer them until Neil is fully recovered. After all, HE is the great physician. Neil, you continue fighting your way to the top. We're pulling for you.
BTW I agree with Uncle John on the Baywatch comment. Glad the picture was made BEFORE you lost your pants. Ha!!Ha!! I haven't forgotten about it. Alesha
We are constantly keeping Neil, his lungs in our prayers,as well as each of you. If there is anything we can do please let us know. We love each of you.
