March 6 8:30 am
Good Morning to all. We just talked to the day nurse. She said Neil had a "GOOD" night. This is the first time they have used that adjective. We are thrilled. The other good news is Neil was able to manage the rotary bed being stopped for 90 minutes last night. The nurse said she could give me blood gases and other levels, but I told her we would get those later, as I did not want to use her time this morning on the phone. The doctor stopped by and said he was able to lower the ventilator a bit. Neil has managed this setting for several hours. The good news is if they have to they can go back to that higher level. The doctor said it will probably take 72 hours to know about the Xigris affect. The other praise report is DeAnn's firm, Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc here in Montgomery, continue to support DeAnn. Also, Neil's agency, Sanbuck, in Troy has been so supportive. I wanted to tell you one other thing. One of my nephews listened to an explanation of what it meant for Neil to be on the ventilator. He finally said "Hold up, I understand, Neil is just chilling!!!" I think that is pretty neat. As I write this I do not review what has been said. So as I repeat things please ignore my errors. I am asking you to continue praying for Neil's lungs. Also, remember to thank God for Neil's recovery. I know I asking for a lot of prayers, but continue to bless the Andress family. I will try to do better today and not skip a visit.

Like so many others, my family and I are praying for Neil and all of you. Please try and take care of yourselves in all this, too! I've offered to help Katey any way I can in the MAT world - and you just say the word and I'll be right there with you, or do whatever needs doing!
I just read on the blog that DeAnn works for GM&C - so did my husband (in the Birmingham office) until just a month ago when he took a new position. They are great people!

Deann, I happy to hear GM&C is taking good care of you. They treated me well in my time there and I'm glad they are treating you the same, if not better. That's a great bunch of folks. Hang in there. Things will all work out for good. Just trust in the Lord to take care of Neil.
