We just had the 1:00 visit with Neil. Neil is responding well to the bi-level ventilator setting. His blood pressure is still elevated and they will bring the medication down one unit at a time. The doctor stopped the Xigris so her could put in a femoral line. This will be more convenient for the medical folks to complete labs. The orthopedist just came by and said there was still a good pulse in his foot. He will have to wait until Neil's lungs improve before he can take any action on his foot. We told Neil we cannot wait to see him at 5:30 this afternoon. Please continue the step up in prayers for his lungs. Thanks again for your love and support.

To all the Granthams and Smiths,
I tried to send a message earlier, but it didn't go through so I will try again! Just wanted to let all of you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. I have sent an e-mail to friends and family members all over the U.S., so there will be someone, somewhere always sending up a special prayer just for all of you and especially those lungs!! We love all of you...be sure to Neil we love him too when you see him again. Call if you need anything.

I am praying for Neil's continued recovery, for continued strength for the family members who are supporting Neil around the clock, and for the doctors and nurses who are caring for Neil's physical needs.
