March 5 10:28 pm

Hey Folks, I am so sorry as I think I missed the 5:30 visit and I know you need to hear. I will try to do better. The doctor stopped the xigris this morning and added the femoral line. The xigris was added back this afternoon. He was off this medication for 8 hours and they will add that at the back end. We had been told this dose was for 92 hours but the doctor said it is for 96 hours. The praise report includes Neil was able to be on the bed with no movement for over 15 minutes while they did this procedure. Yesterday he was not able to manage this feat for 7 minutes. So he was able to double his time. Yea!!!!! With the new ventilator setting, his oxygen stats are very good. His blood pressure is back at a very sound level. We were blessed by a visit from Mike Andress' brother and wife. Also, Nancy Andress' brother, his wife and terrific young man came by and showered us with love. We continue to ask all of you to continue supporting them with your prayers. Please continue to pray for Neil's lungs. He needs this medication to begin working as quickly as possible. I know all of you are aware that Neil is a seriously ill young man. I am also reluctant to say that because we continue to celebrate any good news. His condition as not been upgraded yet from critical but we believe in miracles. A good friend of mine reminded me to start thanking God for Neil's recovery. She said God loves it when we thank him for what he has done even when we cannot see it yet. I hope all of with your prayers will also thank God for Neil's recovery. DeAnn continues to be a blessing to Neil and all of us. DeAnn's office has been more than understanding with our situation. Reese was able to work in Montgomery today. The concern and cooperation from her agency, ADRS is amazing. There is no way to adequately share our love and appreciation for your prayers, love and support.

Neil has been continously in our thoughts and prayer (as well as all the family members) since his accident. He is such a wonderful young man--He has already proved he is an "overcomer" in his life. And, with God's healing touch, he will overcome this. The town of Elba strongly loves and supports both sides of your families. Be assured, we are covering you all with prayer! Thanks for the blog--it helps to know how to pray.WIth God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!Love, Betty & Wayne, Josh Lawford and Lyndsay & Josh Elliott

Dear Family,
As much as we want Neil to have a 100% recovery, God wants it even more. He loves us to a depth we can never understand.
This is his promise and I claim that for Neil today.
Neil is doing his best and it shows. His amazing strength is blessing people around the world as the prayers pour in from those who share our love as Christians. What a guy.
Thank you Neil for the strength you have shown me. I am blessed to be a member of your family. I am so proud of you and I thank God for you. You have reminded us what is important in life.

To Neil and his family, I worked with Neil at Troy State, and I have never worked with someone that is so hilarious and uplifting. Never a dull moment! Please tell Neil that I am thinking about him, and he is in my prayers. I know his close friends and family are ready to see the Neil they all know so well! Neil is definitely a fighter, and I have faith that he will make a full recovery. Thank you so much for keeping us updated through this website.

Hi everyone! Every spare minute I have, I log on to read your updates on Neil, then pass them on to Ashleigh. She doesn't have a lot of time to check the blog with school and work, but she reads it evey chance she gets. All of you are in our prayers every morning, night, and all through every day. God works in amazing ways. He knows the world needs Neil's precious smile and personality! I know I do! He has helped me through the last 12 years without Adam. That is something that I have always taken comfort in- his open arms for a big hug and that cute grin he has! We'll see it again soon-I just know it! Take care, and please give him a big hug from me!
