March 11 5:40 pm
We just visited Neil. Oh my goodness, he is responding to this ventilator setting. He is still at 42 PEEPS and they have decreased the oxygen level to 75. His oxygen level has been at 90 the entire time he has been here. This is the first time he has been able to tolerate this type of decrease. Yea!!!!!!! The day nurse just put a blood pressure patch to help bring his blood pressure down. Neil is responding well to the lasix. We are so pleased. I just have to brag a bit and tell everyone how proud I am of Neil. DeAnn is still visiting with him. She agrees he is having a good day. Thanks to all of you. Please pray for Neil's lungs.

Steadfast progress! This is wonderful news. Hang in there everybody. I second what Janet DS said earlier about sons being gifts, and want to brag a moment on the great job Lucia, Kenneth, Jan, and Dennis have done raising all their children into fine young adults.
Love you, Judy K and "Uncle" V
