March 10 8:45 pm
We just got to see Neil. His oxygen sats are at 97. The doctor is very pleased with the surgeries. The night nurse has Neil all clean and spiffy. Neil had managed today very well and we are so proud of him. We have been asked by the nurses not to mention the names of the medical personnel managing Neil's recovery. They said this was discussed with the doctors and the nurse supervisor. They all agree this blog is a great way to share information but to protect everyone, we will not refer to any of them by name in the future. Thank you all for your prayers for Neil's lungs and the colostomy. They said the benefits from the colostomy should be seen in the next several days. Also, they continue to watch for the benefits from the xigress. Please continue to pray for Neil's lungs.

The Power of Faith:
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to this tree and even more. You will be able to say to this mountain, 'Go, fall into the sea.' And if you have faith, it will happen. If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer."
Matthew 21:21-22

Remember when the youth at Elba FUMC did the musical "Love!"? There was a great song in there - sort of an African American spiritual - called "Thank you, Lord."
It starts with a deep, solo bass voice and repeats those words over and over again ... "Thank you, Lord, for what you've done."
That's what came to mind when I read tonight's blog. What an important day God has brought Neil and all of you through today.
Thank you, Lord .... and please keep those lungs strong!
Michele
