March 10 7:10 pm

The day nurse just came to update us. Neil came through the surgery well. The doctor was able to change the dressing, add the mesh over Neil's abdomen, complete the colostomy and had to add a second chest tube for Neil's right lung. Neil was able to stay in the 90s with his oxygen sats during these procedures. Also, the doctor had to stop the bed for approximately 60 minutes and Neil was able to handle this. DeAnn is back seeing Neil for a short visit and we will be able to see him at 8:30. We are so proud of Neil. Please continue to pray for Neil's lungs.

What wonderful news that all the procedures were completed at one time! Earlier tonight, I talked with a good friend who is a Physician's Assistant there at Baptist South. She had nothing but good things to say about your "Dr V"--not only about his medical expertise but that he is a fine Christian man who God is using in mighty ways. She adds her prayers to all our others and will try to get by tomorrow to see you. I'm glad I got to see all of you this afternoon. God is good!!
