May 28 8:45 pm

Good Evening Folks, I have had a pretty good day. There was a little more pain than the last surgery. Other than that, it has been great. My spirits continue to be high because of all of your thoughts and prayers. One of the main reasons I am still here is because of your prayers. Please continue to think of me as I going to have another surgery on Friday that will let us know exactly where we stand on my leg. We will keep you informed of my progress. Good night from Baptist South.

This afternoon we found out our good friend, Joe Wright, was in an accident coming home from Troy. He is actually right across the hall. Please pray for Joe's full recovery.

A good friend of mom's, Susan Toole, had surgery today. Please pray for her full recovery.

It is so good to hear from you. I know that everything is going well with the charisma and outlook that you have always had. I am continuing to pray for you and DeAnn, and I look forward to a celebration dinner with you guys at Carrabba's really soon. Neil - It is so great to hear from the "Top Gun!" We all knew you were very special on that day many years ago when you were born. We just had no idea just how special until now. I remember how Mama Dot and Aunt B cried with joy when they first saw 'Little Sugarman'. I think I can speak for the whole Grantham clan when I say we all love you so very much and even more we are so very proud of you! Each new day is a gift so untie the ribbons and bring on the good times. I love you! YPSSSYGA

Good morning big guy,
I am continually amazed at you. They better watch out when you get to Health South. You'll be nothing but a blur. I'm praying for you and Deanne that you'll be stronger and better after this time of struggle. God bless you two sweetie.
Love you

I'm a little concerned that they put Joe across the hall from you. The staff has NO IDEA what they are setting themselves up for. :) Just try to keep the late night "jam" sessions down so the self appointed 6th floor security guard doesn't have to come see about yall. I pray that your surgery tomorrow brings good news to you. I know that whatever happens tomorrow, you will face it head on as you have done the last 13 weeks. I love you and can't wait to see ya again. Give our love to Deann and your mom, dad and Reese.
